C. Ray Sheagren, Hotel Burlington, died Tuesday in Mercy hospital after an extended illness. Death came one day before his 82th birthday. Mr. Sheagren was owner operator of Sheagren-Hunt-Dodge-Chrysler Agency for more than half a century. He was a native of Sweden and was born May 10, 1882 at Sjosas the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sheagren. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the National and Iowa Automobile Associations, the Chamber of Commerce, the American Legion, the Carthage Lake club. the "I" club, and the Elks lodge and Flint Hills club. Survivors include tow half-brothers, Elinor Sheagren, Sjosas, and Eric Sheagren, Detroit, and several cousins in Burlington. Services: Sheagren funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m. the Rev. Luther Livingston, Aspen Grove cemetery.
