Obituary
Carl Ludwig Anderson, 2105 South Main street, former Burlington Route employee, died at his home late yesterday after a short illness.
Mr. Anderson suffered a stroke 15 years ago and had been without his voice since that time. At that time he was employed as a Burlington railroad flagman, but has not worked since.
He was born Nov.18, 1860 in Sweden and had resided here since 1884. He was married in 1887 to Selma Hurd here. He was a member of Woodlawn Avenue baptist church.
Mr. Anderson's son, Elmer, was among the first Burlingtonians in the service to die during the World war. He passed away at Camp Cody, N.M. and his body was returned here for burial.
Surviving are his widow and three children, Clarence and Mrs. Adolph Dankwardt in Burlington, and MRs. C.H. Woodruff of Chicago, Ill. nine grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren also survive.
Services will be held from the Burnett' Wallen funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday, with interment in Aspen Grove cemetery. The Rev. S. W. Blumfield will conduct the service.
