Bruce J. Fitzgerald, 37 of 214 S. 10th street, life resident of Burlington, died at St. Francis hospital at 7:45 last night, after an illness of two days. He was born here May 27, 1900. On Oct. 31, 1927, he was married to Hellen G. Schacherer. Mr. Fitzgerald was a member of Bethany Lutheran church and of the Laborers, Roofers, and Electrical unions. He was employed on the auditorium structure when he became ill. Surviving are his widow; a son, Thomas Eugene; four sisters, Mrs. Martha Kessinger, Mrs. Howard Torn, and Mrs. Walter Pyle, Burlington, and Miss Louise Fitzgerald, Chicago, ill.; two brothers, William and Harry, Burlington, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Fitzgerald, Burlington. A daughter died in infancy. Services will be held from the Unterkircher funeral home at 2:30 Monday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. R.R. Belter, pastor of Bethany church. Interment will be in Aspeng Grove cemetery. The body will be taken to the residence Sunday afternoon, being returned to the funeral home at 10 o'clock Monday morning.
