Dr. Albert Verne Eisenhart, 90, of rural Hollister, Mo., died Sunday, May 13, 1990, at his home. Born March 4, 1900, in Burlington, he was the son of Albert Grant and Bessie Mae Pottinger Eisenhart. He married Wilma Lucile Wagner. She preceded him in death. He later married Barbara Lea Wagner Horton. He was an organizer and first president of the American Business Club and the Junior Chamber of Commerce, a charter member and president of the Burlington Coin Club, Knight Templar in the Masonic Order and Shrine Club and a member of the Elks and the Congregational Church of Burlington. He was a veteran of World War I and II and the Korean War, served as First Lieutenant in the Army Dental Corps Reserve, was a member of the Iowa National Guard and was instrumental in the establishment of the Naval Reserve in Burlington. Captain Eisenhart retired with 24 years of service in the US Navy. Surviving are his wife; one son, Robert Wing Eisenhart, Lake Petersburg, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Joan Marie (Virgil Stiefel) Simon, Glenview, ill.; one sister, Mrs. Glen Devere Wagner, Burlington, six grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; and two nieces. A masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday with the family receiving friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Sheagren Funeral Home. The service for Dr. Eisenhart, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Sheagren Funeral Home with the Rev. William Trump officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
