Funeral for Adrian ekdale, 80, of 3000 West Avenue, who died Friday, Jan. 8, will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church at 1 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Donald Hoornstra; Aspen Grove Cemetery. Memorials for the church and the American Heart Fund have been established at Lunning Chapel. He was born April 19, 1901, to Antone and Betty Weberg Ekdale, in Burlington, where he married Catherine Stein June 17, 1925; she died Jan. 21, 1977. Mr. Ekdale was a retired employee of the Burlington northern Railroad shops. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Masonic orders, Burlington Northern Veterans Association, National Association of Retired Railroad Veterans, Eagles Lodge and Senior Citizens. Surviving: Son Dr. Robert, Menlo Park, Calif.; daughter Patricia Todd, Dallas, Texas, sister Eula Ekdale, Burlingtonl; and four grand children.
