Acie G.H. Ferguson, 55, died Sunday at his home at 304 S. Starr Ave. Mr. Ferguson was the owner of Ferguson Heating and Sheet Metal Co. He had previously served for 11 years as pastor of the Assembly of God church, and was a member of the Police Reserve. He had been a candidate for City safety commissioner and county sheriff. A native of Hickman, Ky., Mr. Ferguson was born June 7, 1913, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Ferguson. He married Frieda Ruck at Bellville, Ill., June 24, 1934. Surviving: The wife; sons Capt. Dale Ferguson, Fayetteville, N. Car.; Winston Ferguson, Iowa City, and Acie G.H. Ferguson; brother William Ferguson, Collinsville, Ill., and four grandchildren. The body is at Sheagren funeral home.
